Wowie, this is so, so cute.  I think it's from the website of the travels of Ibn Batuta.  But I don't have the link. 

The surroundings were so much neater, cozier and less complicated than what we see today.

An excellent single pic that teaches a lot at a glance.  Will inshAllah, call the kids to see it.
