It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

As-Salam Alaykum dear all.

Yesterday during a monthly discussion at our Muslim community center there were a couple of folks who were misinterpreting Verse 23:51 until the rest of us clarified the misconception.  That made me realize to clarify it here as well so others don't misunderstand similarly.

"Messengers, eat good things and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do."  (23:51).

"This community of yours is one– and I am your Rab: be mindful of Me – but they have split their community into sects, each rejoicing in their own."  (23:52-53).

Please note folks ::  Verse 23:51 does NOT refer to any future messengers after Muhammed (pbuh).  If you have carefully read Surah Al-Muminum (The Believers), you will know that Verses preceding V.23:51 have narrated the goals of other Prophets in the past. The stories of the former Prophets and their communities have been cited as historical evidences of the truth of the same Message they got, confirmed in Verses 23:52-53.

The Message of Tawheed and the Hereafter that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was conveying was the same as was brought by the former Prophets narrated in the Noble Quran.

Thus, in V.23:51 Allah Almighty addresses all His messengers together which is symbolic of the fact that all messengers to different communities sent by the One Divine Power came with the SAME MESSAGE - The Message of Tawheed or Monotheism (which also contained the code of good conduct essential for every Monotheist).

I reiterate, Verse 23:51 does not mean that all messengers were present at the same place and at the same time, nor does it refer to any future messengers.  Prophet Muhammed is the seal of all prophets/messengers .. the final one .. after whom there will be no more. All Prophets brought the SAME religion from Allah, The One and Only, and all messengers belonged to the same community (that is community of Monotheistic believers).  All other religions were invented by the people and none of them is from Allah.

Excellent.  Very helpful.  I was actually in the process of studying this Verse and researching on opinions of its interpretation.  Of course we all know it does not refer to future prophets.  I don't know how those folks could think that.

Thanks a million Sister Ruhi.

As-Salam Alaykom and peace to all.   We are having our next discussion session following weekend on zoom on this topic.  Thanks to Sister Ruhi for already giving a clear idea of the explanation of V.23:51, Alhumdulilah.  So, let me recap this topic briefly and please let me know if anything more needs to be added.

All Prophets have been addressed by Allah Almighty in V.23:51 referring that all messengers of Allah brought the same message of Tawheed wherever and whenever they were sent by Him.  23:51 is like the concluding Verse after Allah mentions the stories of other Prophets from Verses 23:50.  All Prophets are seen as of one community, that is, the community believing in Monotheism (Tawheed).  Therefore, the message delivered by one messenger was the message delivered by all of them.  V.23:51 addresses all messengers together only to emphasize this aspect that they all brought the same message.  This Verse surely does NOT refer to any future messengers after Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who was definitely the final one as confirmed in the Noble Quran, ref. V.33:40 "Seal (of) the Prophets."

MashAllah, very well recapped brother.

Just one more point I may add in regard to V.23:51 arising from the contents of this Verse addressed to all messengers who brought the same message of Monotheism.

It says "Eat of the good things, and do right."   Doing right refers to righteous conduct.  And eating of the good things implies consuming foods that Allah has confirmed as Halal in normal circumstances. This also implies we have the right to opt for and enjoy the foods we relish, refuting the claims of some fatwa-givers who have declared eating too much good food or eating good food at all as Haram or very close to Haram.  The concept of this Verse also conveys that eating or consuming Halal foods is an inseparable aspect of overall good deeds.  If a person's deeds are good but they persistently eat and drink which Allah Almighty has forbidden, their good deeds are surely compromised and henceforth impaired, and such folks need to work much harder for a good record in the Hereafter.

Wa'salam.   Tons of thanks Sister Zeynab.   Alhumdulilah.  Your point is undoubtedly a very truthful allusion.

Also glad you gave the link of 'no difference between Prophets and Messengers.'  This point might also come up, at least briefly, as we take up V.33:40 on "Seal (of) the Prophets."
