It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

 BismEm

As Salam Alaykum everyone.  Someone in our discussion group wants to get some commentary on the following Verses of Surah Az-Zukhruf.

"And were it not that mankind would have become one community, We might well have appointed, for those who disbelieve in the Beneficent, roofs of silver for their houses and stairs (of silver) whereby to mount, And for their houses doors (of silver) and couches of silver whereon to recline, And ornaments of gold. Yet all that would have been but a provision of the life of the world. And the Hereafter with your Lord would have been for those who keep from evil."  (43:33-35).

Your opinion would be helpful.  Shokran.

Walaikum Salaam brother NTS.  According to Abdel Haleem's translation, the first sentence of Verse 43:33 refers to .. IF all mankind were a single community of disbelievers.  In this case, Allah would have given them all those luxuries - houses of silver and gold etc. - in the life of the world.  The allusion is that disbelievers can only to look forward to worldly gains.  The Hereafter holds NO rewards for them.  And as we see, even in reality, majority of those who lead a life rife with luxuries with no dearth of extravaganza are actually deviated.  But wealth and riches do not and cannot change the hard fact.  Despite the unlimited grandeur, comfort and opulence, this lifestyle is temporary.  Nothing can compare with the permanent reward which Allah has in store for His believing slaves in the Hereafter.  Unfortunately humankind is unable to look through this reality.  Instead, they view abundance of wealth and the high social status that goes with it, as the criterion for greatness and nobility.  How far they are from the Truth!

Thank you very much for your prompt response, Sister Zeynab.  After putting up this post I got busy with some research on it.  I came across Verse 2:200 "But of mankind is he who says: "Our Rab! Give unto us in the world," and he has no portion in the Hereafter."  This obviously refers to those who are busy asking Allah for the good things of this world with no focus on the rewards of the Hereafter .. and there are many who are as such.  Their endeavors are directed only toward materialism. Allah grants them the fruits of their efforts but these rewards are only limited to this world.  In the Hereafter they have nothing because they never bothered to think of the Hereafter in earthly life.  I found this fact to be further clarified in Verse 42:20 "Whoso desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We give him increase in its harvest. And whoso desires the harvest of the world, We give him thereof, and he hath no portion in the Hereafter."  So I get your point.  Verses 43:33-35 express a similar fact.  Thanks again Sister.  Allah bless.

Yes, very correct.  And thank you too brother for quoting the additional Verses.  Just for info of our readers ... in regard to Verse 42:20 "Whoso desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We give him increase in its harvest. .." This refers to those who live their earthly lives by following the rules of Allah (as given in the Noble Quran) because they are constantly aware of the Hereafter.  In other words, combining Deen and duniya and thus leading a Halal life because the Quran is a complete code of life - spiritual and practical.

Great information on Quranic Verses for all seeking knowledge.

Unfortunately the trend of attributing greatness on the basis of money and opulence is getting much too common, spreading like a damn disease.  With all the  Haram games and gimmicks played by tycoons, corporate bigwigs, politicians and their terrorist friends aimed at amassing wealth & power, online and offline gossip columns are now are waiting for the "world's first trillionaire" to come.

But Allah says: "Indeed! those who disbelieve, and die in disbelief, the (whole) earth full of gold would not be accepted from such an one if it were offered as a ransom (for his soul). Theirs will be a painful doom and they will have no helpers." (3:91).

All praise be to YOU and YOU only, dearest Allah.  True justice comes only from YOU.

lol ...  Grin  I ask them why wait for the "first trillionaire."  Let there be dozens of them.  Verse 3:91 has already answered that issue.  Thanks sister Ruhi.  That was another fantastic response to this crazy world.

Yes  Smiley  actually they've been waiting for a "trillionaire" since last 4 years.  Verse 3:91 sums up that notion perfectly.  You quoted the exact Verse, sis Ruhi.  Thanks dear sis.
