It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

Surrounded by a mysterious and uncanny aura, the moon and its possible influence over human behavior has been the object of ancestral fascination and mythical speculation for centuries.  The idea that the lunar cycle influences sleep and behavioral patterns of people and animals dates back thousands of years. Though full moon turning people into werewolves is too absurd to be accepted even by folklore fans, websites and storybooks are quite full of doctored images of wolves, dogs and cats staring at a bright full moon in adulation, sometimes howling or whining, birds getting agitated and chirping loudly, pet clinics being congested during the full moon phase, and the tales are unending!  But this entire concept has been dismissed by modern medicine, little beyond legends and fables that largely come from the entertainment world of movies and fiction bestsellers. None of those animal behavior happen necessarily and exclusively during the full moon nor has any scientific reason been discovered yet to link them with cycles of the moon.  Similar abstractions on altered human habits, responses and reactions during full moon have been found just as baseless.

While few works of research have suggested there might be a bit of truth to these ancient folklores, they haven’t been able to present any convincing evidence.

There are some modernists too who  give the benefit of the doubt to this traditional folk tale based on the ‘gravitational’ potential of the moon. But again, that idea has shown itself to be evidence-free.  Though the gravity of the moon does pull the oceans towards it causing high tide on the side of the earth closest to the moon, there is absolutely no supportive evidence to authenticate that the moon’s gravitational pull also “pulls” the brain or causes changes in the behavior of humans and animals.

There are opinions that full moon causes a bad night's sleep and thus the mental alterations. But is there any science behind these myths? Can the moon affect your mood? Does it make people crazy? Science says there’s no proof to accept such views.  So, traditionalists ask each other, could centuries of folklore be wrong?  Well, traditions are wrong, more often than not!  😐

Even at present, many doctors, nurses, EMTs, police officers and elementary school teachers concur that full moon causes bizarre behavior.  Nearly 45 percent of healthcare professionals believe in what they call “the lunar influence.”  Over 80 percent of mental healthcare specialists agree.  But is there really a lunar connection to abnormal behavior?  Science says NO.  There have been hundreds (if not thousands) of scientific studies.  All have failed to turn up a shred of evidence of the lunar influence. Those few studies that claim a connection are usually disproved or contradicted by others.   For instance, one study says more animal bites from cats and dogs occur at the full moon.  Another says there are no increase in dog or cat bites.  Another one shows an increase in crimes during the full moon. Others find no increase in felony, offenses and arrests at the time of a full moon than at any other period.

There is also an opinion that full moon causes a bad night’s sleep.  Some years ago between 2010 and 2015, a research was done on over 5,000 children from differing social backgrounds to observe if any changes in the pattern of behavior or sleep occurred during the various phases of the moon. Apart from noticing a trend that nighttime sleep during full moon often decreased by 5 minutes compared to new moon, no other behavioral or sleep changes were observed.  That was  compelling evidence that moon does nothing to influence sleep, and consequently nothing to alter behavior that may ensue from disturbed or lack of sleep. A decrease of sleep by a duration of 5 minutes will certainly not ruin anyone’s health.  Despite many such assertions by science, what’s really weird is that 45 percent of college students are of the opinion that “moonstruck” people are likely to act strange, and mental health professionals (of all people) may be more likely than laypeople to accept this odd theory.

One explanation for this baseless belief might be what psychologists call “confirmation bias” or in other words, psychosomatism.  People are more likely to notice or assert something that confirms a pre-existing notion.  If you’re working in a clinic and something strange happens on a full moon, a colleague of yours might say with an approving smile “must be because of the full moon”  because that’s what they heard from their elders.  But if something weird happens at a different phase of the lunar cycle, you will never hear anyone say, “must be the half moon or crescent moon effect.”  And when nothing unusual happens on a full moon, no one even thinks of this folklore and nothing is said.  So, it’s all a bundle of confusion and contradictions and thoroughly unscientific.  Behavior of people change or may sometimes seem weird or anxious because of emotional stress and hectic schedules linked to the challenges of life, not the moon.  If wolves, dogs or cats are observed staring at the full moon, they are obviously relaxing and enjoying the bright scenario just as humans enjoy spending time outdoors picnicking in the evening during a full moon.  It’s that simple!

Ancient societies dwelled on this myth for which there was a very strong reason. They were not followers of the Monotheistic Faith and therefore they never pondered on science and logic, filling their lives with plenty of superstitions and absurdities.  The Noble Quran is full of scientific information.  It also mentions the phases of the moon, its uses and its beneficial purpose for humans.  All from a purely practical viewpoint that particularly mattered in times prior to the invention of electricity.  The Quran never states nor hints of any connections between the phases of the moon and human/animal behavior.   Knowing the comprehensive approach of the Noble Quran, if there was really a connection between full moon and the mind, there would have certainly been some mention of it in our Final Message either directly or indirectly.  But the Quran states nothing to validate this postulation.

So interesting.   I particularly liked the sum-up in you final paragraph.  In this regard it's useful to read the entire set of Verses in the Noble Quran on the moon which our readers can find in the following link:

"Moon in the Quran"

In those ancient times of paganism, moon worship was common.  And this idea of moon affecting minds sneakily denotes the pagan myth of the moon's power on humans and animals.  Total rubbish.

Yeah Sis, that point you mentioned could very likely be a motive behind this superstition.

Good read, easy, to the point and precise.

The altered Bible claims that Jesus could see the entire Earth from a single high location (Matthew 4:8).  I am sure if Prophet Essa (pbuh) heard this, he would be shocked at the lies of his so-called followers!   Altered Bible makes many such statements because it believed that earth was flat.  What Bible writers meant was that the entire earth could be seen from a single spot since the whole planet was brightened with the sun's light at the same time, something which could only be possible if the earth was flat.  If the earth was flat, then the full moon (and all phases of the moon) would appear at the same time from all places.   But today we know that this is false. Moreover, if the sky is clear the full moon can only be seen at night from sunset to sunrise, not during the daytime because the earth is round or spherical and it rotates. This was asserted in the Quran 1,442 years ago.  Western sources boast that spherical shape of the earth was common knowledge since the time of Greek philosophers more than 2,000 years ago.  Yet the altered Bibles written and re-written since 2,000 years is full of contents describing the earth as flat.  Just about everywhere in Europe the presumption of a flat earth existed throughout the rule of the Catholic Church which even forbade the study of medicine, declaring the Muslim doctors of Al-Andalusia as "sorcerers" and dubbing Abu Zahrawi (father of surgery who invented catgut for stitching wounds) as a man performing witchcraft.  Hilarious!

To have a full moon, the sun, Earth and moon have to be aligned.  If full moon is visible in your location of the earth, then that is the precise time of this alignment.

Couldn't agree more, brother.  Altered bibles are the source of top-notch ignorance-cum-idiocy we commonly refer to as jahalat.
