It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

As-Salam Alaykum and peace dear folks.   InshAllah, hope Ramadan is going well for all.  Amazing how time flies.  First 10 days of Ramadan is already over.  All praise be to YOU, dearest Allah.

My eldest son asked the above question.   We know that Allah sends the angel of death to take the souls of humans.   What about animals?   Your feedback would be appreciated.

Salam and hio sis  Smiley   me back.  Sorry for the delay.  Yesterday after Iftar, Isha and salat al-leil, I felt a bit too tired.

Coming to your question, that's possible but it has not been specified in the Noble Quran.  Only Allah Almighty would know.

Say: ‘The angel of death, who is set over you, will take your souls, then you shall be brought back to your Rab.’” (as-Sajdah 32:11).

Some of our scholars interpret the above Verse as a confirmation that the angel of death takes the souls only of humans and not of other living beings.  As we can see, this Verse certainly confirms that the souls of humans are taken by the angel of death on the orders of Allah, the Verse does not confirm that the same does not happen in the case of animals.  Maybe it's the angel of death who also takes away the souls of animals at the time of their death, maybe, but Allah knows best.  Some other scholars are of the view that angel of death takes the souls only of humans while Allah Almighty Himself takes the souls of other living beings.   Again, only Allah knows best.   Whatever is the final truth, nothing is difficult for Allah.  Whether Allah commands the angel of death to perform this task as in the case of humans, or whether The Almighty has decided to gather the souls of other living beings Himself, it's all very simple for HIM.  Subhan'Allah.    Furthermore, whatever is the truth as decreed by The Almighty, it does not make any difference to us humans nor to those other living beings.

What is certain is that all of these living beings like humans surely do have souls and they will be gathered before Allah on the Day of Judgement ..... except that those other living beings won't we questioned similar to humans and jinn.

Check the following Verses for instance:

"There is not an animal in the earth, nor a flying creature flying on two wings, but they are peoples like unto you. We have neglected nothing in the Book (of Our decrees). Then unto their Lord they will be gathered."  6:38

"And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations."   27:82.

"Hast thou not seen that Allah, He it is Whom all who are in the heavens and the earth praise, and the birds in their flight? Of each He knoweth verily the worship and the praise; and Allah is Aware of what they do."  24:41.

Verse 6:38 makes it abundantly clear that animals and birds have souls and therefore they will be gathered in the Hereafter.   Verse 27:82 states that Allah will summon an animal on the Day of Judgement to confirm the truth of Faith to humankind, most of whom were not believers.   Verse 24:41 confirms that like humans, all other living beings also praise (do zikr of Allah) and worship Allah.  All these other living beings have their own way and language to praise and worship Allah which only HE understands.

Thus, whether their souls are taken by the angel of death is not confirmed but that is a possibility.  The confirmation is only with Allah, and all matters are decided only and entirely by the Will of Allah.

Very interesting question.  I had also thought of it many times.  I appreciate the very open answer you have provided, Sister Heba.   Agree to the fullest.

By the way, this query was asked by a reader at Islam Q&A and the following is a portion of the response by one of the sheikhs (in 5th or 6th paragraph) which I quote as under:

"But the most important thing to say in response to this question is that man should not go to extremes (in asking questions). The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Those who go to extremes (in their words and deeds) are doomed.” So do not ask about things in which there is no benefit. By Allah, if there were any benefit in our knowing whether the Angel of death takes the souls of other creatures, Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, would have told us about it, either in the Qur’an or Sunnah, or Allah would have caused someone to ask the Messenger about that."

While Allah constantly tells us in the Quran to think and to reflect, our so-called ulemas encourage the opposite so that people remain dependent on the fabrications and myths of the clerical circles.   It's their plan for promoting ignorance.  Why would and how can the Prophet (pbuh) ever say such a thing?   Neither did any of the Prophets have the authority to assign doom nor Paradise to anyone.  That is only the prerogative of Allah Almighty.

" Our sheikhs sulk over useful questions asked but forget the possibility of their own doom for the construction of their own gossips to distort the Divine Faith."

This is precisely the problem with these folks.  It's all about keeping people silently obedient over all the deviations and interpolations the clerics introduce in the name of  "Islam,"  almost nothing of which is warranted in the Noble Quran.

And now take a careful look at this:

"By Allah, if there were any benefit in our knowing whether the Angel of death takes the souls of other creatures, Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, would have told us about it, either in the Qur’an or Sunnah, or Allah would have caused someone to ask the Messenger about that."

See this ha?  This is how they try to justify the existence of Hadith, filling it up with all sorts of contents they desire and in the process completely dismissing the fact that only the Quran is the Sole Furqan.  Whatever Allah wants to tell humankind is already there in the Quran.   If we have any questions which are not directly spelled out in the Quran, there is no harm thinking or asking those questions to seek possible answers .. and many such queries are answerable by analyzing various Quranic contents as guidelines.  Whatever is not answerable belongs to the unseen and must not be tampered with by human mind, tongue or hands.   Allah never says anything through "sunnah" nor does Allah convey important information via Q&A of ordinary folks with ulterior motives.    This sheikh who has written this is a clever manipulator.

Absolutely right sister.

Indeed how time flies.  One-third of the blessed month is already over.  I pray it went well for everyone.  I pray the rest goes well too, InshAllah, Ameen.

Wa'Salam and many thanks dear sister and brother.  I understand perfectly.  Will tell my son to read this thread.

Yes, this year the month of Ramadan is passing exceptionally fast.  Ameen ya Rab.  May HE accept our fasts, our salah, our supplications and the charity we can afford to give.
