In the West they are now realizing its value.  Apart from an excellent method of cleansing oneself directly with water, it's great for the environment as well.  In the West they have this filthy habit of "dry cleaning" their backs after defecating using tissues.  And after urination most of them don't wash at all.  Loads of tissues are used everyday and dumped inside the toilet with the crap and flushed.  But if one is using Muslim hand-held shower, they clean themselves with their own hand, then pat dry the washed area with just a little toilet tissue, flush it and then wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water.

Alhumdulilah.  Perfect hygiene.

Spot on!  Alhumdulilah.

O yeah, Muslim showers are great.  In Pakistan we had it in every washroom.  Here, in this condo we don't.  We have our traditional shiny jugs ready in the washroom next to the toilet.  Every member of family needs at least 3 to 4 of these large jugs full of water from the faucet for each cleaning until squeak, squeak, squeaky clean Smiley   and then of course hand soap to thoroughly wash hands.
