......
there looks to be one gaffe out there.  That woman in white with a kid at the corner is wearing a wide brimmed sun hat which is Mexican rather than Moroccan.  Particularly in those days no one wore it in Morocco.  .......

Sister Ruhi, I also thought that at first but when I checked it out, I discovered those are traditional Moroccan hand woven reed hats very commonly worn by men and women field workers in north Morocco.  These hats are called 'sheshia' and have been a part of Moroccan culture since centuries.  You get the story of these Moroccan sheshia hats here titled The hat of the north: Moroccan sheshia.

Aw really?  Never knew this.  That link gives quite an interesting history of the sheshia hat.  Thanks for educating me on that.

Yes, that's called the sheshia hand woven hats in Morocco.  They mostly wear it while traversing through the desert areas of the country.  Not many foreigners know about it and it sometimes does give that Mexican look, lol.

I don't know the name of the artist.   This image was put up in Pinterest by a Moroccan hotel that promotes tourism offering competitive rates to tourists.  I couldn't find it through any other source.  It's possible that the image was painted by someone hired by these promoters of tourism.

Hummm .... very interesting addition br. TS.

This is such a beautifully cozy thread.  I so much miss not being in some nice Muslim land particularly during the month of Ramadan.
