November 01, 2023, 03:43:43 pm Ruhi_Rose: Yes .. making lots of dua everyday ..... watching those real life video clips, my face feels wet with tears all the time.  May ALLAH grant the best to these wonderful, brave & steadfast martyrs,  Ameen ya Allah.
November 01, 2023, 03:38:26 pm Zainab_M: Keep praying, praying a lot for Gaza. It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.
October 26, 2023, 03:40:19 pm N. Truth Seeker: Don't forget to look up MV Blog Zainab's Lounge for our Gaza updates.
October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.
July 29, 2023, 03:02:07 am Zainab_M: Yesterday was Ashura, Muharram 10, 1444 (July 27, 2023).  Read about this very tragic day and details of the world's greatest 7th century revolutionary: WHO WAS HUSSEIN.
June 28, 2023, 09:48:39 am Zainab_M: Walaikum As Salaam.  This was the first Hajj open to all after the pandemic. It was attended by 2.6 million Muslims.

People say that there are five pillars of Islam. In fact all orders in Quran are Fard/obligatory on believers. The purpose of this post is to present a few of the orders of Allah in Quran, so that readers can read, understand and try to implement these orders of Al-Quran in their lives.  Salat/Prayers is an excellent means of reciting and repeating Allah’s Ayats. To make Salat more beneficial it would serve one better if one tries to understand the Ayats containing orders of Allah,  recite them in Salat and implement them in one’s life style.

Serve Allah, and do not join any thing in partnership with Him; and do good- to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, poor, neighbors who are relatives, neighbors who are strangers, the companion by your side, the sons of the way, and what you possess rightfully, for Allah does not love the arrogant, the vainglorious;-

Serve Allah only, do good and be generous to parents, relatives, orphans, poor, neighbors, companions, wayfarers and those subservient to you. Don’t be arrogant and boastful in your attitude with anyone.

O’ People who believe, Enter into Peace completely; and follow not the footsteps of Satan for he is an open enemy to you.

Fully immerse in Peace and security. Against any situation that you encounter in life, your judgment should be the one seeking peace and security (3:19).  Satan tries to create enmity and hatred among our selves and provide means of temptation. This eternal enemy  is to be shunned all times.

Hold to Pardon / Excuse / Overlook and order with what is recognizably (right) and turn away from the ignorant ones.

Be forgiving to people and don’t be harsh on them. Don’t engage with people who don’t have knowledge and wisdom.

34. Nor can goodness and evil be equal. Repel (evil) with what is better: Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate!

Respond to aggression with goodness, the aggressor on realization of his mistake will feel guilty. Replying aggression with greater aggression would definitely result in greater turmoil.

And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant ones address them, they say,”Salam/Peace!”

The servants of Al-Rehman have humility and restraint in their behavior.

Donot look (wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them. but bow your wings (in gentleness) to the believers.

Don’t eye worldly possessions and riches with wistfulness.

Those who spend whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who are restrainers of anger/rage, and are forgiving to people;- for Allah loves those who do good;-

Restraint of one’s anger and rage is very important. Allah loves those who forgive people and are good to them.

Satan promises you of poverty and orders you with Fahisha/shameful acts. Allah promises you His forgiveness and bounties. And Allah  is bounteous for all and He knows all things.

Whenever you fear loss of income and poverty, be cautious as it could be Satan doing his action on you, while Allah promises his benevolence on the believers.

Those who witness no falsehood, and, if they pass by vain and frivolous talk, they pass by it with dignity;

Pass by undesirable, vain or obscene items with dignity without making undue fuss.

But if any one does a fault or a sin and then blames it on to someone innocent, He carries (on himself) a falsehood and a clear sin.

A big thing in the eyes of the Lord, to put the blame of your’s wrong doing on some one else. This will not be taken lightly by Allah, so have the courage to accept the responsibility of your actions.

Grievously odious is it in the sight of Allah is that you say something on which you yourself don’t act upon.

Allah commands justice and doing of Ahsan/good, and generosity to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion. He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition.

“And do not swell your cheeks (with pride) for people, and do not walk on earth with pageant; for Allah does not love any arrogant boaster.”

If it had been your Lord’s will, they would all have believed,- all people who are on earth! Will you then compel mankind, (against their will), until they become believers!

Faith is not to be forced on any one. People can only be invited towards the path of Allah with the best way possible and with reason and wisdom (16:125)

As-Salam Alaikum brother.  Thanks for the useful recap on Quranic guidelines.

Respond to aggression with goodness, the aggressor on realization of his mistake will feel guilty. Replying aggression with greater aggression would definitely result in greater turmoil.

I would like to add a bit on your commentary of Verse 41:34.    The good, referring to good deeds, is mentioned in the original Arabic of V.41:34 as "al-ḥasanatu" and the evil is stated as "al-sayi-atu."   I wouldn't interpret 'evil' as aggression in this Verse.   I think evil here basically refers to unethical acts or wrongdoings in practical life.  Aggression in the Quran generally alludes to hostility relating to war or ill-will between community groups or tribes etc. leading to antagonism and violence.  In such a scenario, Allah Almighty forbids us to begin hostilities.  But if the other party attacks us or initiates aggression, then we have the right to respond with similar aggression.  Or, if a community is constantly being oppressed and tyrannized by another community, the former has the right to rebel or fight back as a response to the oppressor.   In other words, no doubt aggression and oppression (fitnah) are strongly condemned throughout the Quran, but fighting is allowed in self defense and in the course of justice.

"Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors."  (2:190).

"You may kill those who wage war against you, and you may evict them whence they evicted you. Oppression is worse than murder. Do not fight them at the Sacred Masjid, unless they attack you therein. If they attack you, you may kill them. This is the just retribution for those disbelievers."  (2:191).

"If they refrain, then ALLAH is Forgiving and Merciful."  (2:192).

"You may also fight them to eliminate oppression, and to worship ALLAH freely. If they refrain, you shall not aggress; aggression is permitted only against the aggressors."  (2:193).

Some people either misunderstand or portray (by personal choice) Islam as a pacifist Faith.   My purpose of this clarification is to mention that the ethics of Islam - as elucidated in the Noble Quran - is justice, not pacifism.  Pacifism is simply an impractical, lopsided rhetoric that overrides justice more often than not.  It's not even practiced by those who claim to uphold it.  Quite commonly, pacifism is also propagated as a tool by the powerful oppressor to silence the oppressed, resulting in prolonging the suffering of the helpless and thus promotion of injustice.   The Noble Quran gives the oppressed every entitlement to fight back .. even if the rest of the world misconstrues it as "aggression."
