November 01, 2023, 03:38:26 pm Zainab_M: Keep praying, praying a lot for Gaza. It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

 BismEm

"It is no sin for you that ye seek the bounty of your Rab (by trading). But, when ye press on in the multitude from 'Arafat, remember Allah by the sacred monument. Remember Him as He hath guided you, although before ye were of those astray."  (2:198)  Al-Baqrah.

As-Salam Alaykum dear everyone.    In the above Verse Allah Almighty mentions about seeking His bounty which apparently refers to one's daily work, that is, earning your livelihood (in a Halal manner of course).  The Verse may indicate that going about with earning one's livelihood is acceptable even during the period of Hajj.  Am I right?

Walaykom Salam sister.  I would understand that it refers to the season of Hajj, not period of Hajj.

The pagans nurtured a misconception according to which they refused to participate in business throughout the Hajj season.  They thought that worldly activities like trade and business must not be done during the season of Hajj.   But the Noble Quran discards this misconception by clarifying that religious duty and practical life need not be separated.  A righteous man who obeys the orders of Allah by performing Hajj and afterwards (in the same month) also earns a Halal livelihood is seeking the bounty of Allah as well as seeking His pleasure by performing Hajj.   And worship must be for Allah exclusively in accordance with the Guidance He mentions in the Final Message.

In my opinion, this Verse 2:198 refers to the month or months of Hajj.  "The pilgrimage is (in) the well known months,"  (2:197) as the reference here is Zil-Hajj or most likely the 4 sacred months, that is, Zil-Hajj, Muharram, Safar and Rajab.    During this season, though war is not allowed, trade & business is permitted.  After a person performs Hajj, they may certainly participate in Halal trade & business.

Okay.  I get it now.  So it means during the season of Hajj, not during the procedure of Hajj.

In my opinion, yes ..... season of Hajj.  The procedure of Hajj lasts 5 days  from the 8th to 12th of Dhul-Hijjah, which is the 12th and last month of the Islamic calendar. During these 5 days, the 9th of Zil-Hajj is known the day of Arafah, and this day is called the day of Hajj when Hajj is  completed.  During these 5 days I'm sure one must be focused on completing the Hajj.   And Allah knows best.
