As-Salam Alaykum kids.    Please know never to ignore the misery of the poor.   Help those kids out of poverty who aren't as fortunate as you.  Even if you can afford to give them a bag of candies or a bar of chocolate, please give.  InshAllah, Allah Almighty will reward you for your heartfelt concern.

Wa'Salam.   Very significant and inspiring message to put up Sister Ruhi.  I cannot describe how much this poignant image touches my heart.    Please kids, understand this message and do whatever you can to help, particularly at a time when the month of Ramadan is so close ..... though helping the needy is a must at all times in the Sight of The Almighty.

Indeed heart-rending.  This looks like the work of an Iranian artist.  It's an excellent piece of art, but unfortunately some artists in Iran are using their images to promote propaganda.  They should know that such poverty exists in every part of the world.  Rather they're more rife in some of the richest countries of the world where brutal capitalism is ravaging the middle-class and poor.

Really?   That's thoroughly improper.  Without any doubts, some of the most excruciating stories on poverty come from the richest lands.

I learned from somewhere that perhaps this image is based on some Iranian movie scene.

I wouldn't know about that sister, but it could be so.  The real point is poverty exists everywhere and is growing.  In the so-called welfare turned well-farce states of the West, homelessness is perpetually on the rise and is devastating human life.  In many cities and towns of north America even the shelters are full.

As Muslims, it's incumbent upon us to do whatever we can to help poor children whose parents aren't sure when their kids last ate a proper meal.  It's best to give in kind (food, candies, clothing, toys, medicines) rather than cash as many parents of the poor also tend to misuse cash.   Unfortunately this too is a problem.
