It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

 BismEm

"Your comrade errs not, nor is deceived;"  53:2
"Nor doth he speak of (his own) desire."   53:3
"It is not but a revelation revealed,"   53:4
"Taught to him by one mighty in strength -" 53:5

As-Salam Alaykum dear all.

Focusing on Verse 53:5, whom does this Verse refer to?   Some people are of the view that it refers to Angel Jibreel.   Others think it refers to The Almighty Allah because the Quran was taught to the Prophet (pbuh) from Allah Almighty, not any one else.  Moreover, they mention that the expression "one mighty in strength" is an appropriate reference to The Almighty only.   What is your opinion, my dear MV sisters and brother?

Walaikum As-Salam Sister Ruhi.   This is a very good topic to bring up and I hope, Insh'Allah, the discussion on it will benefit our guests.

Absolutely true that Allah Almighty is The Most Mighty, most Strong and most Powerful.  Also, no doubt that the Noble Quran was taught to the Prophet pbuh by The Almighty and none else.   All of this is confirmed and asserted by Allah Himself and requires no argument nor any further discussion.   The point is, these are not the references made in Verse 53:5 to The Almighty.   This Verse clearly points to Angel Jibreel.    Angel Jibreel is referred to as "mighty in strength" in the category of angels, in that, he is either the most important or  one of the most important angels.   Furthermore, the word "Taught" in Verse 53:5 does not literally mean 'teaching the Prophet.'  Instead it alludes to Angel Jibreel's duty or responsibility of bringing the Divine Revelations from and by the Command of Allah Almighty to the Prophet (pbuh).   In other words, the term "Taught" metaphorically refers to Angel Jibreel as the medium bringing the Divine Revelations by the Divine Commandment to His final messenger (pbuh).

In much the same style, Angel Jibreel has also been referred in Verse 2:97 of Surah Al-Baqrah, which also confirms that Angel Jibreel brings the Divine Revelations to the Prophet (pbuh) by the Command of Allah Almighty.

"Say (O Muhammad, to mankind):  Who is an enemy to Jibreel!  For he it is who has revealed (this Scripture) to your heart by Allah's leave, confirming that which was (revealed) before it, and a guidance and glad tidings to believers;"  2:97.

Moreover, as I've always said, the best and most solid confirmation of Quranic Verses come from within the Quran itself, when you read the following or preceding Verses of the one you're focused on.   In this cases, if you continue reading Surah An-Najm from Verses 53:6-12 (quoted below), it's confirmed without a doubt that the mention is of Angel Jibreel;  the reference is to the Prophet's (pbuh) earliest vision of Angel Jibreel in Makkah when the angel brought him (pbuh) the first Revelation from The Almighty.

"One of soundness;  and he grew clear to view"  53:6
"When he was on the uppermost horizon."   53:7
"Then he approached and descended"  53:8
"Till he was (distant) two bows' length or even nearer,"  56:9
"And He revealed unto His slave that which He revealed."  56:10

(In this Verse 56:10 the reference is to Allah Almighty revealing the Quran to the Prophet [pbuh])
"The heart lied not (in seeing) what it saw."  56:11
(This means that the vision of the Prophet [pbuh] seeing Angel Jibreel was true)
"So will you dispute with him over what he saw?"  56:12

Then again, if you continue reading Surah An-Najm, Verses  56:13-18 (quoted below) refer to another vision of the Prophet (pbuh) when he again saw Angel Jibreel.  This alludes to the Prophet's (pbuh) Journey of Mairaj.

"And verily he saw him yet another time"  56:13
"By the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary,"  56:14
"Near unto which is the Garden of Abode."  56:15
"When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered [it]."  56:16
"The eye turned not aside nor yet was overbold."  56:17

(In V.56:17 the reference is to the Prophet's [pbuh] presence, that his demeanor was perfectly appropriate, he was composed and focused on his duty, neither distracted nor did he try to behave too brave).
"Verily he saw one of the greater revelations of his Rab."  56:18

Therefore in Surah An-Najm, Verses 53:5-12 refer to Angel Jibreel when he brought the first of the Quranic Revelations to the Prophet (pbuh), and Verses 53:13-18 refer to the Prophet (pbuh) seeing Angel Jibreel during the Journey of Mairaj.

Very helpful articulation dear Sister.  It's now perfectly clear.

You're so right.    Reading the Verses following Verse 53:5 actually illuminates everything.   And then studying Verses 53:13-18, highlights the two occasions when the Prophet (pbuh) saw Angel Jibreel.

Alhumdulilah ya Rab!

Walaykom AsSalam.   Very well explicated.  This topic came up briefly some time ago in one of our virtual meetings too but was left incomplete.   Reminds me to restart it with a printed copy of Sister Heba's input and complete the discussion, Insh'Allah.
