November 01, 2023, 03:43:43 pm Ruhi_Rose: Yes .. making lots of dua everyday ..... watching those real life video clips, my face feels wet with tears all the time.  May ALLAH grant the best to these wonderful, brave & steadfast martyrs,  Ameen ya Allah.
November 01, 2023, 03:38:26 pm Zainab_M: Keep praying, praying a lot for Gaza. It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.
October 26, 2023, 03:40:19 pm N. Truth Seeker: Don't forget to look up MV Blog Zainab's Lounge for our Gaza updates.
October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.
July 29, 2023, 03:02:07 am Zainab_M: Yesterday was Ashura, Muharram 10, 1444 (July 27, 2023).  Read about this very tragic day and details of the world's greatest 7th century revolutionary: WHO WAS HUSSEIN.
June 28, 2023, 09:48:39 am Zainab_M: Walaikum As Salaam.  This was the first Hajj open to all after the pandemic. It was attended by 2.6 million Muslims.

Salam esteemed members of MV, may Allah keep you in the best of health and eeman.

Verse 140 of sura An Nisa warn us against sitting with satanic folks who make fun of revealed verses and the religion of Allah, else we become like them and doom ourselves to hellfire.

My question is, in the vastness of internet cyberspace, there are specific webpages that attract the worst of the worst, where they congregate and support each other in belittling Islam, Allah and His messengers, as we as Quranic guidance. Due to curiosity and perhaps ill judgement, an individual may consciously visit such sites and deliberately expose themselves to the literary filth and blasphemy that are endemic to such places. Would such actions, constitute as disobeying Allah's commandments in verse 140? The reasoning that individual may give for visting such sites is that he or she wants to observe what's in the mind of these disbelievers and hypocrites...

Please advice, thank you and kind regards.

Walaykum Salam.   It depends on the intention of one's approach.  If at some point, online or in-person, a believer feels they want to respond to the falsifications of the ignorant and the unrighteous who are spewing absurdities and slandering Allah Almighty and His Final Message, then it's alright to go there for a while and say what you want to say.  But I would not advise any believer to linger around such places every now and again.  It's pointless even if the believer's intent is to confront trouble-makers who are grounded in disbelief.  Such hardcore disbelievers have been written off by The Almighty.  Their intent is only to abuse, ridicule, foolishly challenge, speak of things they have no knowledge and gross defamation.   Allah Almighty makes it very clear in His Final Book that the case of such people is abandoned who wander blindly in their contumacy and are yet convinced of their infallibility.  They are doomed in the Hereafter and our efforts to discuss matters with them will bring no good except waste a lot of our time.

As Allah says in Verse 28:56 Surah Al-Qasas:

"Indeed!  you (O Muhammad) guide not whom you love, but Allah guides whom He will. And He is Best Aware of those who walk aright."  28:56.

In this Verse, Allah speaks directly to the Prophet (pbuh), and it applies to all of us as well.

If you are participating in a formal debate with a disbeliever, then it's okay to be present in such an event only if your opponent is behaving respectfully with a genuine desire for more knowledge.  Otherwise, if their goal is only to lambaste, belittle and incite hate, then the believer should walk away or simply decline to participate.

Yes, the entire mission of the particular website is to reject any and all debate against their blasphemous ramblings and insults, no matter how well prepared and referenced are the presented arguments. It is a blank canvas exclusively for expression of hate, disbelief and mockery of Islam as a religion and a way of life. They are honest and upfront with this for all visitors, so atleast in this sense they are good.

So called former Muslims, non Muslims, atheists and lapsed members of various other religions are welcomed to express all of their spite and venom towards the Islamic religion and it's faithful adherents, in the most vulgar and disgusting language possible.

Muslim individuals may be tempted to linger around the site to observe in practice the level of filth and shamelessness that can develop in minds of human beings that we are usually warned about but rarely get to see in everyday life. Also, the confidence and determination of the site regulars in their misguidance and disbelief despite their arguments often being painfully stupid, deceptive and factually incorrect can be addictively amusing to the observing visitor.

You are indeed correct sr, every second of a believers life is an opportunity to invest in his or her hereafter. So beyond the quick first glance, it is highly unbecoming of a Muslim to waste valuable time gifted to him or her by Allah lingering in such unblest online spaces for personal gratification.

They are speaking lies so how can you call them honest or good?

They themselves are neither honest nor good. But by making their stance towards Islam readily apparent, the observer is able to put their guards up and maintain a psychological distance from the writings therein...so it's good in that sense is what I meant.
