It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

 BismEm

For me, the most difficult question to answer is when someone asks "which is your favorite Quran Verse ?"  The Beauty of all Verses of the Noble Quran is so diverse that it is impossible to pick the most favorite Verse.   Thus, if I pick a favorite Verse, it is one of my many favorites.  Having said that, let me mention, one of my many favorites is "Which is it, of the favors of your Rab that you deny" of Surah Ar-Rehman (Chapter 55).

Starting from Verse 55:13 of Surah Ar-Rehman, this identical Verse is repeated 31 times in total.  That is how much The Almighty has emphasized on the subject of this Verse, to highlight the Truth that the favors of Allah Almighty are unlimited.  Thus, let us awaken and reflect for a while on the enormous significance of these Words.

The favors bestowed by The Almighty on humans aren't restricted to any particular sphere of life.  Rather, HIS favors are spread across all facets of human life.   Whether it be finances, wealth, health, food, happiness, safety, travel, climate etc., be it abstract or tangible, HIS favors and mercy are everywhere and infinite.  But the human mind is inclined toward extreme ingratitude, taking all HIS favors for granted.  How many people are there in the world who have enjoyed HIS favors throughout their lives and have not thanked HIM even once?  How many rich and joyous folks do you know who have done their time in this world and passed away without thanking The Almighty even once for everything HE bestowed on them in this earthly life?   Unfortunately there too many folks in this category.

Moreover, the challenges of life with all its trials and tribulations often get people so distracted - even though many a times the problems of life are caused by the mistakes of humans themselves - that they completely forget the huge favors they enjoyed for years granted by Allah Almighty.  Humans are quick to complain, but very slow when it comes to thankfulness and gratitude.  They waste no time frowning, whining and fussing if life get tough, but it seldom occurs to them to turn to ALLAH to thank HIM for all the goodies and bonuses HE has granted to them.

The Words "Which is it, of the favors of your Rab, that you deny?"  mentioned by Allah Almighty 31 times in a single Surah is a very significant reminder that we need to take a break from all our distractions and preoccupations of life and reflect for  a moment on the enormous favors we take for granted, favors without which life would come to a standstill for all of us.

The same concept as the Verse  "Which is it, of the favors of your Rab, that you deny?" reiterated 31 times in Surah 55 has also been stated by The Almighty in Surah An-Nahl and Surah Ibrahim.

"And if you would count the favors of Allah you cannot reckon it."  16:18 An-Nahl.

"And He gives you of all you ask of Him, and if you would count the bounty of Allah you cannot reckon it.  Indeed, man is verily a wrong-doer, an ingrate."  14:34  Ibrahim.

Without a doubt, ALLAH The Greatest, The Highest, is the Most Merciful, the Most Just and the Kindest.  It's about time for us to be mindful of this fact constantly.

Yes, one of my favorites too!   The manner of Divine narration is so vivid and amazing.   Allah described a variety of His favors in this Surah, and after the description of each favor, the word "Which is it of the favors of your Rab that you deny" are stated.  From Verse 55:13 these words are stated in every alternate Verse.  Allah has planned format of this Surah so exquisitely that as you keep reading this Surah, you can literally feel the significance of these words and the emphasis getting deeper and deeper.

SubhanAllah ya Rab.  YOU are the ONE and ONLY, YOU are the Greatest.

For the information of our readers, Surah Ar-Rehman and Surah Ya Seen are specifically recited at the events of death and serious illnesses.

Thank you Sister Ruhi for choosing this marvelous topic.

Absolutely Beautiful !!   Unfortunately the thankless humans neither realize the infinite favors of Allah Almighty nor are they capable of admiring the Beauty of HIS words nor reflecting on HIS reminders.  Insh'Allah, He will deal with them on the Day of Judgment.

Thank you for this post Sister Ruhi.   Allah bless.
