Does seeing deceased people in your dream an indication of their visiting this dunya? Second question, do souls that pass away miss their loved ones left behind in this dunya. According to Verse 23:100 of Surah Al-Mominun, those people who pass away into the next dunya cannot return. "Until, when death comes unto one of them, he says: My Rab! Send me back, That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaks; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised." 23:100 Al-Mominun. The above Verse is a very clear confirmation from The Almighty. Seeing deceased loved ones or deceased people in dreams may sometimes have some significance or may carry some message, but it doesn't indicate that those deceased are able to visit this dunya. Thus, only Allah knows best. It's possible that Allah Almighty may inform some souls of the circumstances or situation of their loved ones who are still in the temporary dunya. After all, nothing is impossible for Allah Almighty to achieve. And only Allah has the precise information in regard to this aspect. I'm aware that people have come up with lots of stories on such issues, but without any assertions or confirmations from the Noble Quran, those stories cannot be taken as facts.
