Thomas Beatie story

The tabloids have recently gotten filled with a variety of titles pertaining to a single story that reads "Pregnant man?"  .. "Can a man get pregnant?" .. "Pregnant man captivates the world" and so on.  These tabloids are selling like hot cakes.  But a quick analysis of the matter resolves the so-called puzzle.

Thomas Beatie is a man from Hawaii who claims to be a "pregnant man."  Recently he was also a guest at the Oprah Winfrey Show to display his baby bump.  He is married to a woman named Nancy who's said to be infertile, so he is giving birth instead of her.  While it's true that Thomas Beatie is pregnant, don't forget to check this person's past.

The reality of this sickening story is - Thomas Beatie was born a female named Tracey LaGondino in Hawaii.  Tracey was considered an attractive woman who often participated in beauty pagent shows.  But for unknown reasons, she wanted to become a man.  She decided to change her gender by undergoing a sex operation.  However, she only had her breasts removed and was given large doses of Testosterone to grow facial and body hair.  But she did not have her female reproductive organs removed.  Therefore, what is outwardly being exhibited as a "pregnant man" is actually a pregnant woman.  This person is genetically a female.  He chooses to live as a man, but is a pregnant woman dressing and living like a man.

Many news medias have stated that this disgusting couple purposefully chose to go public with their story. They weren’t discovered, as they claim.  They sought attention only to make money and are also said to be writing a book on this.

Fetus in Fetu - the world's most bizarre medical condition

There is another reason when a man could sometimes be teased as being "pregnant" but it's actually a very rare medical condition which could even become serious if neglected.  It's called Fetus in Fetu.  The condition can only occur in a twin fetus .. when a fetus gets trapped inside its twin.  This case is said to be so rare that there have so far been just a few in the entire history of medical science.  The most recent case was in India in 2006 with a man in his 30s.  The trapped fetus can survive as a parasite within the body of its twin for many years after birth with the help of an "umbilical cordlike structure."  Thus, the trapped fetus lives on the blood supply acquired from its twin and grows so large that eventually it starts to harm that person.  Unless doctors attend to this problem, it could be fatal at such a stage.  Of course, this condition can happen with a man or a woman in a twin fetus.  The trapped fetus that grows within a person, making him or her look pregnant is actually not an offspring but a sibling.

OMG!  this Thomas Beatie's story is really DISGUSTING!!!!  He (former she) and his wife must be some kind of psychopaths.

That bit about Fetus in Fetu is of course a medical condition.  I think it's the same as parasitic twin.  It's said that this condition produces conjoined twins as well.  While conjoined twins are joined at the head or shoulders but both grow fully, parasitic twin does not develop and becomes completely dependent on the other twin fetus, usually getting trapped inside its stomach.  But I'm sure nowadays this malformation can be detected before birth in developed countries because ultrasounds and sonograms of pregnant women have become so common.  A case of fetus in fetu also occured in Chile in 2006. The infant was born with the fetus of his twin in his stomach.  Fortunately it was detected by the doctors and they operated and removed the fetus from the infant's stomach.  Check the story at MSNBC.

Shocked Shocked Shocked   ---  OMG!  This story is too too shocking.  When misguided liberalism goes to an extreme, this is what happens to the minds of people.  They turn sick and confused.  Just imagine the shock and misery this man's (former woman) parents must have gone thru.   And yes, indeed this is a pregnant woman not a "pregnant man."

This story is of course different with a solid medical reason.  I'd never heard of it before.  Sounds really weird though.  Thanks for the info br. pt.
