And but for a decree that had already gone forth from your Rab, and a term already fixed, the judgment would have been inevitable (in this world). (20:129  Surah Ta-Ha)

You might have heard a lot of people say that Divine Justice is not perfect because lots of sinners and violators in this world lead a happy life with no punishments nor any hardships.  But this is the view of only those who have a very weak Faith or no Faith at all and no intelligence.  Verse 20:129 states categorically that the Day of Judgment is pre-ordained and already fixed by Almighty Allah.  Hence, those who escape punishment in this world are by no means free.  Their escape from punishment is very short-lived and temporary.  All such violators will be questioned and dealt with on that fixed Day of Questioning, the Final Judgment, precisely in accordance with their deeds and practices.
