That's a very truthful clarification brother TS, thanks.  Actually this Khazar history is an embarassing one for the West.  It remained hidden history for decades and everyone knows why.  In the 1930s when Pickthall translated the Noble Quran, the Khazar ancestry was hardly an important topic.  After WW2 it became a sensitive topic.  It began being exposed when alternative sources and history whistle blowers got their voice with the advent of the internet.  I doubt if my parents and grandparents knew anything about the Khazar ancestry.  I learned about it as late as the early 2000s.  But now since the last few years it's better known globally.

Absolutely agree brother, 110%.   I am also an avid researcher of the Khazar history.  This hidden history has started spilling plenty of beans.  You're right, I posted Pickthall's commentary, and as you already suggested, I don't think he knew much about the Khazar ancestry.  But this occurred to me now after reading your clarification.  Moreover, when I posted this tafsir, I had in mind precisely the same scenario as explicated .. the exodus of the Khazars from 7th and 8th centuries onward across Europe, then WW2 and stealing Palestine and many also immigrating to North America.  But I should have explicitly stated it as you have done otherwise readers may misunderstand.  My apology for that for I know this is important matter. 

The dispersal of Semite Arab Jews (who did not convert to Christianity and later did not embrace Islam either) is very little.  The three tribes in Medinah during the Prophet's (pbuh) time, then there were some Jews who lived in Khyber, Yemen and Ethiopia.  They were just a drop in the bucket compared to the Caucasian Khazars who permeated all over Europe as separate nations.  Despite robbing Palestine, currently the Yahuds live in large numbers in other lands too ..  7.6 million in U.S., 300K in U.K. and 1.3 million in Europe.  This is in addition to nearly 9 million in the illegal state of Israel.  Thus The Almighty states of gathering them out of various nations.  Subhan'Allah.

And according to reports Jewish population of Europe has steadily dropped by 60% in the past 5 decades.

Really, 60% ??   That's a lot.  What's the reason ..... more immigration leaving Europe or are they having lesser number of children?

I think more immigration leaving Europe.  The decline of Jewish population in Europe became fast after the fall of Soviet Union, when many Jews residing in eastern Europe left for Russia and Ukraine.
