Salaams dear all.   You know, I forgot to update you guys on a spceific point.  Tackling my old whistling tea kettle I learned that the two most important factors are the tight fittings of the cover of the kettle on top and the cover of the spout.  Otherwise the steam will leak as it boils and it won't whistle or the whistle will be mild .. not quite audible if you are not in the kitchen.

This old kettle of mine had a spout cover with an ineffective spring so it wouldn't cover the spout well unless I pressed it against the spout with fingertips.  Then it would whistle .. real loud.

Wa'salam dear sis.   O really!?   Is that so?   Thanks.  The one I have now sometimes whistles okay sometimes mild, sometimes not at all.  So what I need to do is to check and press the spout cover over the spout before putting the water on the stove top to boil.

Btw which make are you using sis?

I don’t recall its make, only that it was stainless steel and made in China.  I am not using it any longer.  I had to trash it.  I put it on the stove top for tea and then sat down at my computer, completely forgot about it and it got burned from inside as well as a bit from outside.  It was too difficult washing it inside so I had to trash it.  I didn’t remember to press the spout cover so it didn’t whistle and ended up getting ruined.  That’s how important a tight grip of the spout cover is.

I bought a new one from Amzaon recently.  It’s an enamel kettle, Jucoan brand  .. a stove top vintage whistling enamel tea kettle.  Though the spout and top covers fit well, I suppose they aren’t too tight, so the whistling is mild.  Not to my liking.  May be, InshAllah, it improves with time.

MashAllah and wow sis!   This is awesome !!   Looks lovely.  Enamel is good stuff, safe and light weight compared to stainless steel and ceramic.

My daughter sitting next to me is wanting us to buy this 😀  It must be more costly I'm sure. 

Very likely as you continue using it, the whistling will get louder.  InshAllah.   It really looks nice.  It can even be used as a tea pot.  When the tea water boils, just being the kettle on the table, place it on a thick coaster and  pour the water into the tea cup after a while

Not too costly.  It's cheaper than stainless steel despite the vintage pattern.  It was approximately between CAD 32 and 33.  Stainless steel is around CAD 35.

Yeah right it can be used as tea pot as well like you described.  That will be convenient in a home with a whole family, everyone at the table for tea or coffee.  So I think it will be a good idea to take your daughter's advise and buy it 😊  InshAllah.

Wow, the price sounds great!  Alhumdulilah.  Yeah, InshAllah I am really keen to buy it.  Beautiful tea kettle, really!
