June 30, 2022, 05:37:22 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Salaam all. Today is 1st Dhul Hijja 1443 (corresponding to June 30, 2022). Day of Arafah will be on 9th Dhul Hijja (July 8th) and Eid-al-Adha on 10th Dhul Hijja (July 9th). Fasting on the Day of Arafah is not obligatory, however it's a good day to observe a nafl fast for those healthy enough to do so. Insh'Allah.

Remembering 9/16

We will now put aside the phoney tragedy of 9/11 and remember the real tragedy of September - September 16th 1982 - the Sabra and Shatila Massacre carried out by Israeli forces allied with the Phalangists (or the Christian Lebanese militias) during the height of the Lebanese civil war. Sabra and Shatila were two impoverished Palestinian refugee camps in South Lebanon attacked by the Zionists and Phalangists at the orders of convicted Zionist war criminal, Ariel Sharon. The attack on Sabra and Shatila ended on September 17th 1982, killing more than 3,500 unarmed men, women, children and elderly. The Western media has never even had the b@lls to highlight this horrific genocide, not even once!
