The Kingdom of Solomon - 2010 Full Movie.  Duration 1 hour and 42 minutes.  An Iranian production.  Movie is in Persian with English sub-titles.

I got this today.  Haven't seen the entire film yet but only in bits & pieces.  It's about the Prophet Solomon (Sulaiman), son of Prophet David.   This movie has been a big hit with wise movie watchers.  I will watch the complete film soon, InshAllah.  Hope you guys like it too.

Ohh!  This is a very good movie sis.  I watched the first 32.09 minutes.  Need to eat dinner now and then after my Isha salat I'll go to sleep.  Will continue tomorrow, InshAllah, from the exact point I left.  

I have to say, there are many things that have been detailed in this movie are not in the Quran .. like the way Prophethood came upon Solomon and how exactly he handled the various issues troubling the people.   But there are similarities with the Quran as well.  Uptil now it hasn't shown about the queen of sheba and the hoopoe (bird) acting as the message carrier between her and Solomon's kingdom as given in the Quran.  However, there's lot more to watch in the movie, so let's see how much compatibility it has with the Quran.

However, it's a wonderful production.  Superb acting & direction, very good and respectful presentation (unlike Western depictions of history that are always filled with some bit of vulgarity and of course plenty of unfounded lies) and excellent scenery.  It's apparently Iranian scenery and more picturesque than Palestine where Solomon actually lived.  

Will give more feedback after I finish watching, InshAllah.

Finished watching the entire movie.  It was a good presentation as I said earlier, but quite a lot of things shown here aren't mentioned in the Quran.  Actually the Quran does not mention too much about Prophet Solomon to make a full length movie.  However, the general theme was correct as all Prophets came to cleanse their communities of evil.  And of course, the movie contains absolutely no offensive lies which hollywood productions always show even about Prophets.  All in all, it's a good movie.  I'd advise everyone to watch it.

I also saw it yesterday.  You're right.  Many things aren't from the Quran.  Particularly I couldn't understand those black smokey things like dark clouds creating havoc in that little society .. I think it was supposed to be Hebron, quite far from Jerusalem.  But yes, it didn't contain anything objectionable and had a truthful theme and good presentation. 

It was sent to me by my cousin.  He said he got it from facebook.

And yeah, I too couldn't understand what those black smokey things were supposed to be.   If things go according to the Quran then we can analyse and follow them right.  Otherwise it becomes difficult to confirm anything.

But yes, I'm also glad at least there was nothing objectionable or cheap as in hollywood films.

Me too, saw this movie between today and yesterday.  Nice one.  The person who acted as Prophet Solomon was very charismatic and talented.   Acted very well.  I really felt sad at the death of his wife.  Would you know how this movie maker got the idea of the death of Prophet's Solomon's wife at such a young age?  It's not mentioned in the Quran.  The Quran does not elaborate anything on his family life.

Hummm, I'm not sure where they got if from.  But it's compatible with Solomon's nature.  They've shown his wife to be a very loving and pious lady and I'm sure a man who is the Messenger of Allah would only choose to marry a woman of repute like the one they showed.   Unlike the mess the bible writers have made with loads of lies in the old & new testaments.  First they slandered & maligned David and then Solomon.  According to the altered bibles Solomon had many wives and perhaps mistresses too who were all pagans and one of his wives was the daughter of one of the pharaohs.  Tons of bullshit.   Compared to all that mess, this movie has portrayed the character of Solomon in accordance with his steadfastness as depicted in the Quran.  Small details have been added, but again in accordance with obvious facts of history and his life.  Because the Quranic description of Solomon is so brief that in order to make a full length movie, they had to put in their own details.   But as you can see, though all details might not be authentic, everything is compatible & respectful in keeping with the personality of a prophet.
