It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

Many thanks for the additional clarification Sister Ruhi.  Those are very significant points and I'm glad you corrected them.  The Quranic narration on Adam's two sons is certainly not about allowing an aggressor to kill you.   And it's indeed deceitful of this brother to hide Verse 47:21 the way he did.    I won't be surprised if he has carried out more manipulations in the off-topic contents as I haven't checked all of that too closely.  I never knew his grasp of Quranic information was so poor .. and that he was so inclined to trickery.

If 'Islam' means 'peace,' same as 'salam,' then what is the expression defining submission in the Quran?  Surely none can deny that submission to Allah alone is the essence of the Quran without which no one can even qualify for His forgiveness.   But this brother never touched that issue at all.  Is he of the opinion that Allah does not care whether or not His slaves submit to Him?

hummm .... as I've always observed it's never a good idea to rush into commentaries until one has read the Quran at least twice or thrice with fullest of concentration ..... after grasping all its basic values comprehensively.  Otherwise, one's interpretation of a certain Verse may not be supported by another Verse which is exactly the blunder this brother has been making.  It typically happens when one hasn't been able to get hold of the elemental Quranic ideolgoy well enough.  For example he views Verses 5:27-29 as similar to 'turning the other cheek' or discouragement of self-defense; that's because he's missed out on those several Verses that emphasize on self-defense as such folks don't give themselves a chance to reflect carefully after reading both sets of Verses, either because they're too hasty OR they're led by their programmed mind.

Yes that's exactly it.  In the case of this person, I think it's primarily his programmed mind that's constantly pushing him to obstruct the truth.

That's why I'm so careful whom to let in.  Nowadays even several of those who call themselves "Quran aloners" have a hidden agenda.
