This is a story, not a real occurrence, but it conveys a very important message that must be remembered by everyone in their real lives.

Once upon a time there was a king.   His little kingdom was struck with famine.  Food got scarce and people were living on bread and black coffee for days.  The king was working hard with his helpers and advisers to change this tragic situation.  After a few months, the situation began to improve.  A little later, it got better and the king felt he finally got back his peace of mind.  After months of sadness and preoccupation much to the distress of his viziers, the king now looked cheerful and content.

One day a fortune teller came to the king's court to congratulate him for steering the drought stricken country out of danger.  The king thanked the fortune teller and asked him how long he (the king) would live.  The fortune teller closed his eyes and pretended to think hard for a few minutes.  He then opened his eyes and told the king, "I'm sorry, the news isn't good.  You will live for only one more year."  The king again went into a state of depression.

That evening one of the king's very loyal viziers asked him why he looked so sorrowful.  The king mentioned what the fortune teller had said to him.  The vizier told the king not to worry and told the courtiers to call the same fortune teller the next day.  When he arrived, the vizier brought him before the king and asked him how he knew the king would live for only one more year?  The fortune teller replied he saw the king's funeral in his crystal ball and spoke some nonsense about the stars.  Then the vizier asked the fortune teller how long he (the fortune teller) himself would live.  He took a deep breath and said "I am a young man of 25.  I have quite a long life ahead of me."  He then again closed his eyes pretending to be in a trance.  He opened his eyes after a while and said  "I will live for another 50 years and die when I am 75."  On hearing that, the vizier took out his sword and killed the fortune teller.  He then looked at the king and said to him, "this man confidently said he would live for 50 years and he died barely 5 seconds later.  Would you continue to be grief-stricken over his lies?"

Lesson of the story:  NO ONE CAN EVER KNOW THE FUTURE EXCEPT ALLAH, THE ALMIGHTY.   Even none of the Prophets knew the future, let alone the common persons.  Only The Almighty knows every bit of the future, the present and the past.

Never believe the bluff of any crystal ball readers, palmists, fortune tellers, tarrot card readers etc.  They are all shameless frauds and quacks who only want to grab the money of the people they fool.

Ha ha!  Good one.  When the vizier asked the fraud how long he's gonna live, he should have understood he's caught.

@Brother TS, no, Nassrid era, Muslims in Spain (An-Andalus).  It's from our Pinterest board of Islamic golden era, as I see it.
