As-Salaam Alaikum.

To MV guest readers of our forum:  As we are presently in the month of Shaban, and Ramadan is only 8 days away (Insh'Allah), there are often questions on optional fasting in Rajab and Shaban. Please know, that is not obligatory.  Obligatory fasting is only in Ramadan.  For details read this post and also the related links given there.
