August 01, 2022, 08:48:12 pm Ruhi_Rose: As-Salam Alaykum MV guests. Just a reminder how time flies. We're already in the Islamic new year of 1444 month of Muharram, a very tragic time of our history. May The Almighty grant Hussein bin Ali and his comrades the best spot in Paradise for their unflinching courage to uphold the values of the Final Message, The Noble Quran.  Please read our post Ashura - who was Hussein? June 30, 2022, 05:37:22 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Salaam all.  Today is 1st Dhul Hijja 1443 (corresponding to June 30, 2022).  Day of Arafah will be on 9th Dhul Hijja (July 8th) and Eid-al-Adha on 10th Dhul Hijja (July 9th). Fasting on the Day of Arafah is not obligatory, however it's a good day to observe a nafl fast for those healthy enough to do so.  Insh'Allah.

Bism'Allah Ar Rehman Ar Raheem ..  As-Salam Alaykum dear all.

We all know the importance of gratitude towards Allah The Exalted.  Making du'a to Allah Almighty to enable us to be grateful to Him and to constantly express our gratitude to Him is absolutely essential.  While we are quick to ask Allah for His favors, we need to be just as quick to thank Him for already granting us His numerous favors on a daily basis.

A great Quranic supplication to express your gratitude and thanks to The Almighty is Verse 27:19, Surah An-Naml.

Transliteration:
Rabbi awzi’nee an-ash-kura ni’mata ka allatī  an’amta ‘alaiya waʿalā  wālidayya  wa-an  a’mala saalihan tardahu wa adkhilnee birahmatika fi ʿibādika  l-ṣāliḥīna

Translation:
“My Rab, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous slaves.”
27:19 (Surah An-Naml)

Ameen ya Rab, ameen.

Write it on a piece of paper (along with the translation) and recite the original Arabic at least once a day, and then also read the translation to confirm that you understood what you recited.  This way, gradually Insh'Allah, you will memorize the original Arabic.  Subhan'Allah.
