Will family of those in Jannah miss those in Jahanum?

Salam n peace.  Some members of a family are people of iman (believers) while some are kufar (disbelievers – polytheist, atheist, agnostic).  Those of iman will be accepted in Jannah and those who didn’t have iman will be sent to Jahanum.  Will those nice people of a family who go to Jannah feel grief when they think of their other loved ones who could not make it to Jannah?

Walaikum As-Salaam.  No, they won’t feel that way.  What you mentioned is an emotional approach as long as one is in this world and hasn’t yet experienced the unseen.  In the Hereafter everyone will know that the Judgement and Verdict from Allah Almighty is flawless.  Everyone, guilty or righteous, will know that they got what they worked for.  The horror experienced by the guilty will fill them with remorse and repentance.  Yet they will not complain and will accept the situation with complete acceptance because they will know that they have not been wronged.  Similarly, those righteous people in Jannah will also know that their relatives in Jahanum have not been dealt with unjustly, and they got what they worked for.

About those believers who go to Jannah, Allah Almighty says:

“They will not hear the slightest sound thereof, while they abide in that which their souls desire.  The Supreme Horror will not grieve them, and the angels will welcome them, (saying): This is your Day which you were promised;”  21:102-103 Surah Al-Anbiya.

Ok, so just to clarify, if parents realize on Day of Judgement their daughter or son did not qualify for Jannah, they won't feel anything?

They will probably be regretful that their children were not rightly guided and proved to be a loser on the Day of Judgement but they won't be grieving over it perpetually like earthly grief.  The Hereafter will be a very different situation which will also adjust the human perception & mind.  First of all, everyone will be sure that there is NO injustice to anyone in the Last Day.  Secondly, that will be a time when every soul will be too anxious concerning themselves.  Everyone will be desperately waiting for maghfirah for themselves.  Everything else will be secondary.  That will be the approach even between parents and children.
