Jostling to identify water and ice 385,000 km away but no potable water in your own backyard!  Weird that a country where an average of 8 million people get typhoid every year and 80,000 die each year from consumption of contaminated / non-potable water spends $74 million searching for water in the south pole of the moon as boastful adventure.

According to a Lancet study 700,000 Indians died because of water contamination in 2019.

Contaminated water” and “India” are synonymous.  The moment you keyboard the words “contaminated water” on Google, the word “india” pops up automatically.

The horrific air and environmental pollution isn’t India’s only worry.  65% of the Indian population lives in rural areas and 35% in cities and towns. From all the sewage generated in urban areas, only 25% is treated.  Rest of the  untreated sewage contaminates freshwater bodies.  Also, contamination of drinking water with arsenic is widespread mostly in central and eastern India.  One can imagine the number of lives at risk.

Writes Times of India in July 2023,  “More than 4,000 septic trucks full of sludge are disposed off in the Ganges and its tributaries every day. Each truck would contain, on average, 5,000 litres of human waste. What is even more concerning is that the river basin has become the dumping ground for plastic garbage, including micro-plastics from face masks.  Inadequate sanitation facilities and open defecation practices contribute to the contamination of water sources, especially in rural areas.”

Times of India says their drinking water is contaminated with plenty of microplastics. And surely that's not the only contaminant.

Yamuna river flowing through Delhi is infested with industrial discharge.

World Economic Forum states that India’s urbanization is rapidly causing its water bodies to get highly toxic.   40 million liters of wastewater is emptied in rivers and other water bodies daily.  Only a small fraction is treated.  As a result, 70% of the country’s surface water was unfit for consumption in 2019.  It’s worse now.

Water pollution killing millions of Indians - World Economic Forum.

Chicago based Circle of Blue, a network reporting on the world's resource crises, had much to say in a report published in December 2018.  “Dirty aquifers and water scarcity are destabilizing the world’s second-largest country and seventh-largest economy. As its water reserves get dirtier and smaller, India is losing the capacity to safeguard public health, ensure farm productivity, grow the economy and secure social stability. Filthy water is in abundance.  India’s rivers, lakes, and aquifers are more polluted than the waters of any other major nation. The worst water crisis doesn’t stop there. Drought and wasteful pumping is drying up aquifers that supply more than 30 million water wells across India, many of them used for irrigation. Government studies show at least a third of India’s groundwater reserves are being pumped at much faster rates than they are being recharged by rainfall.”

80% waterbodies in Kerala, India, are heavily contaminated reveals their government study.

Does Modi intend to resolve this gigantic problem replete with filth in his backyard by fetching clean water from the moon’s south pole with a 26kg rickety rover carried in Chandrayaan spacecraft?

While the cost of $74 million for a rudderless space mission is a lot of money for a penurious old tramp like India, it is in sooth very little for a space project.  By comparison, NASA is on track to spend $93 billion on its Artemis moon programme through 2025.  Though that is another thumping waste which won’t help to lessen the rise in homelessness within the U.S. nor help to provide a decent healthcare system they desperately need, it’s just a comparison that exposes India’s stand on this ostensible purpose.

The Indian rover has limited battery capacity and it is not designed to withstand very low space temperatures.  With one lunar night equivalent to 14 days on earth, when it’s sunrise in the moon, the rover may not awaken. The rover’s mechanism can collapse at such cold temperatures.  An electronic system, integrated circuits and connections that are able hold out against the extreme cold in the moon require far more advanced and costly technology which India does not have.  This was opined by the Indian scientific sources themselves.

Despite overspending its budget for 30 years preparing for this mission at the cost of starving and thirsting millions of Indians, there was no word from Indian sources on the actual goal of the mission, that is, outcome of the rover searching for signs of frozen water on the lunar surface.  After the rover’s laser apparatus detected and transmitted some useless data of the presence iron, calcium, titanium and silicon (already known to the world), it pretty much tuckered out.

To avoid embarrassment (like the one in 2019 when the Indian spacecraft lost touch with the lander after entering the lunar orbit, and the lander deviated from its course with a resounding crash), this time the rover was programmed on "sleep mode" after one day of its baby walk on the moon.  Reports Al-Jazeera "There was no word on the outcome of the rover searches for signs of frozen water on the lunar surface .."   The Indian space agency can do nothing but hope the rover wakes up some day and starts staggering again.

The deafening applause from Western outlets complimenting India on this unmanned moon mission helps to distract minds from the very unlivable conditions within the country that are fast deteriorating.  Despite the event being touted as “India’s rising standing as a technology and space powerhouse,” immigration fraud is highest among Indians desperate to clamber out of the “technology powerhouse” in hordes by hook or by crook .. a country that spends $74 million to nurture empty boast but cannot afford ambulances nor oxygen in most of its hospitals where relatives have to carry away the dead bodies of their loved ones on motor bikes.

There is no better example of skewed priorities than India's moon mission of 2023.

It's hard to understand how the mind of these egoistical and autocratic leaders are wired to feel completely at ease with such relentless extravagance while millions of their subjects are dying daily of water borne diseases, cancers and of course hunger.

Thank you very much for sharing this precise and to-the-point information dear Sister Ruhi.

And never believe a word of what this country says.  Modi's fanatical hindu regime isn't only immersed in fascism, it also consists of a bunch unmitigated liars.  It claims that in 3 years 2016-2019 poverty in India improved by 10%, from 24% to 14%.  This laughable lie was then posted online by the UN without a shred of verification when, all along, news on the ground kept showing the country's rising poverty and the agonizing situation of the common Indians.  The UN simply posts whatever feedback it gets from the Indian govt. despite knowing that they are compulsive liars.

An Indian source reported in an article last year that with an income of Indian Rs.10,000 a month an average working class family (referring to those doing office work) can survive fairly well.  But when one is lying, their words are bound to be contradictory when analyzed.  Early this year another Indian media as well as an Indian discussion board mentioned on the topic of domestic servants that the monthly wages of a full time servant in India is between Ind.Rs.16,000 and 20,000.  And monthly wages of a part time maid is between Ind.Rs.10,000 and 12,000.  So, how can an average working family live comfortably in Rs.10,000 which also exposes the absurdity that domestic servants in India earn more than the average people working in offices.

😂

Over and above everything else, India's thoughtless and un-planned lies make it a hilariously backward country.

Right sis  😃  that govt thrives on its lies because it knows that the UN and other Western countries welcome its falsifications that help them to run their propaganda machine.

In 2012 Indian govt reported that 2.40 million of its people were suffering from HIV-AIDS.  That coming from the Indian govt was certainly and purposefully an undercounted report.  The real figures can easily be doubled if not tripled.  Furthermore, India has done nothing to locally manufacture medications for HIV-AIDS patients.  For that reason they are totally silent on this issue.  Currently in 2023 it is surmised that nothing less than at least 50 million Indians are either HIV positive or have full blown AIDS.  But no one talks about it.  Everyone keeps lambasting sub-saharan Africa as worst hit by AIDS but in reality there are many more in India.

Very correct Sister Ruhi.  This point was also exposed a few years ago, even the UN acknowledged it .. and then India created a huge ruckus that it was being "wrongly discriminated."  Soon after everyone went silent and the UN retracted its statement.

As if one wasn't bad enough, seems like India has become the second Israel for the West.

You bet .. it sure is.  They exchange notes on favorable strategies on occupation.  They're both totalitarian occupiers, highly bigoted.  That became official in 2017 (or probably 2018) when the following "beach-fest"  images were released.

Caution:  Very nauseating, you could puke  🤢

The Zionists call it Olga beach .. named after the Zionist activist Olga Hankin (Khankin, in Hebrew) 1852 - 1943.  She and her husband were responsible for most of the forcible major land robberies by the Zionist Organization in Ottoman Palestine .. before the official heist in 1948.   The town of Haifa in northern free Palestine was brutally cleansed ethnically in early 1948.  History of Haifa in Palestine Remembered.
