It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

Salam Mv.  I am so very thankful to all of you for taking the time to intelligently reflect over my problem with sensible advice through the very nice Quranic verses as references.  I found those verses very heartwarming and helpful to think over and find answers and clues to my questions. Your insightful perspective is undoubtedly worth remembering to connect with the truth for comfort of my anxious heart.  I also thank the guest members.  Their comments and suggestions were supportive and thought provoking.   Please keep me in your dua.  Insh’Allah I wish to meet all of you in Jannah too.  Ameen.

Salam and peace,  One more query from me please, if you don’t mind.  This one hasn’t been asked by anyone.  If a believing woman gets married to a believing man, they have a happy marriage, then after a few years tragically the husband dies.  Then she remarries another believing man, and they live a happy married life.  She was happy with both husbands and both husbands were happy with her.  All 3 were were believers. On the Day of Judgement if all 3 qualify for Jannah, will she get the companionship of both husbands or one of them?

Same story can also be in the reverse, a believing man happily married to two believing women, one after another.

Walaikum as Salaam and peace.   In such a case it’s certainly not impossible for her to have the companionship of both.  Or, if she has a choice which one she prefers as companion in Jannah, Allah may grant her that, if He wills.  When I say companionship I mean clean friendship and company of each other along with the righteous. Something very important that needs to be remembered is that life or companionship in Jannah is not about sexual intimacy and procreation as expected from spousal relationships in this dunya.  People will neither experience nor miss the lower desires they experienced in this dunya that need to be consummated after marriage to stay on the Halal path.  In the Hereafter there are no such lustful desires to lure the dwellers of Jannah.

And the details are known to Allah only.

Salam and MashAllah very interesting thread on a subject very important for all of us.

There is also the question of the unseen only Allah knows that which grade of Jannah will be granted to whom.  For this reason even if 2 people go to Jannah, wouldn’t they have to be in the same grade of Jannah to be able to meet?

Walaykom as Salam.    For sure there are grades in both Jannah and Jahanum, depending on the level of one’s piety or violations.

“Those are they who are in truth believers. For them are grades (of honor) with their Rab, and pardon, and a bountiful provision.”   8:4 Al Anfal.

“And for all there will be ranks from what they do, that He may pay them for their deeds; and they will not be wronged.”  46:19  Al Ahqaf.

“There are degrees (of grace and reprobation) with Allah, and Allah is Seer of what they do.”  3:163  Al Imran.

However, it’s not about “able to meet” .. rather if Allah grants maghfirah and bestows Jannah on two people with whom He is pleased, regardless of which grade of Jannah each one has been assigned, the fact is they have both earned the approval of Allah within the Beauty of Jannah.  If Allah grants them the permission to meet, then that’s the only thing they require.   The  differences between the grades of Jannah given to two believers won’t be an obstacle to stop them meeting, if Allah approves.  It’s only the consent or endorsement from Allah that’s needed.  If you check the Quranic Verses quoted in this thread on loved ones meeting in Jannah, Allah has not stated anywhere that meeting between loved ones will be only if they are in the same grade of Jannah, because once you earn the good pleasure of Allah and qualify for Jannah, your grade of Jannah will not be a hurdle for meeting loved ones IF Allah grants permission.

Jannah is a place of unprecedented Beauty, comfort and happiness.  No matter which grade, there will be comfort and bliss.  Certainly more in the higher grades.  But even lower grades offer enormous peace and joy unknown in this world.

Similarly all grades of Jahanum will be an ordeal indescribable.  Higher grades of Jahanum may be a little less harrowing in comparison to the lower grades, yet that won’t provide any relief to anyone.  All grades of Jahanum are awful.

Hope this helps, InshAllah.

Good point for clarification. very good.  Jannah is the final beauty.  We are all looking forward to it.  But first we gotta strive for maghfirah.

Salam and peace to all here.  Our standard traditional concept insists that the companionship of the opposite gender in Jannat is only for believing men not believing women.  They say even if a believing and pious sister dies without finding a suitable soulmate, she won’t get pleasure of a male companionin Jannat, but man in similar situation will.  So if a pious sister cannot find her soulmate in this world, she decides she won’t marry until she finds that right person, time keeps passing, she becomes old and goes on her final journey.   Same thing also happens with a man. He gets his companionship in Jannat but she doesn’t.  I asked them to quote some contents from the Quran to prove this claim.  They couldn’t.   They quoted one or two other verses which are not at all linked with this topic.   But they dragged their explanation bringing in some traditional man-written stuff.

O man!  this was too full of duplicity to digest.

How far would you reject this claim?

Walaykom As Salam.  For sure I reject this claim 100%.

“Whoever does good whether male or female and he is a believer, We will most certainly make him live a happy life, and We will most certainly give them their reward for the best of what they did.”  16:97 An Nahl.

As a reader as follower of the Noble Quran, I see the traditionalist claim as completely wrong.  There is not a single ayah in the Quran where Allah has mentioned or even indirectly alluded to such a concept.  Allah has granted sentiments, compassion and feelings of love in the hearts of both genders.   As we have always maintained on the basis of the knowledge we have from the Quran that there is no concept of sexual intimacy and procreation in Paradise.  We also admit that Allah has not told us everything about the rewards of believers in Paradise.  The complete knowledge is with Allah only and it is a lot more than what we know now.  And what we do know for sure is that there will be NO double standards for the two genders as we see in this world.  Whether it be feminism or misogyny, all that belongs only within this earthly sphere.  Allah’s system of justice is too perfect to Judge His slaves on the basis of their gender.

A very good analysis on how the standard and perception of Paradise is wholly different from this world has been clearly and succinctly elucidated in Mv article Reward of Women in Paradise.   I request you to kindly read this work carefully and then you will realize the blunder of the traditionalists who perceive life in Jannah having similar values as the temporary earthly life.
