Can UFOs be jinn?

What does Islam say?  Are aliens and UFOs the same?

One may say that is a possibility but we cannot confirm.  Only Allah has the facts.  So it’s better not to speculate.   It will only result in weaving more tales like Hadith.

As the initials suggest, UFOs are unidentified flying objects.  Or simply an unidentified phenomenon, perceived airborne that cannot be identified or explained. However, there have been few investigations (of sorts) and some UFOs have shown the possibility of atmospheric phenomena, while some could not be explained.

Aliens and UFOs are not the same.

No 'aliens' have yet been found or seen nor explained logically or scientifically, let alone guessing they might live in other planets.  It is basically science fiction or tales of extraterrestrial beings (aliens).  We all know the infatuation of the western culture for story telling and fabrications, rather in most cases dramatizations from scratch.  That’s the definition of “aliens.” 

There is NO  evidence yet of any form of life beyond Earth.  Tiny microscopic bacteria or germs floating in space or other planets have been topics of gossips and whispering campaigns but to no avail. Nothing could be proven.  Scientists have discovered many planets that orbit distant stars just as planets of our solar system (including earth) orbit the sun, but absolutely NO proof of any signs of life in any other planets. Only Allah has the precise information.

In the alien-UFO link, some idle story tellers have concocted (to lure more audience) that UFOs are the “spaceships” of aliens.  Such mythical stuff is really not worth anyone’s time.

Allah knows best. Even if UFOs are not jinn, it does not concern me or nor my aqeedah.  The Noble Quran has not mentioned it because there is nothing we will benefit, practically nor spiritually, from knowing it.   

As for "aliens" it is just a science fiction myth.

The universe is so huge MashaAllah.  No reason not to recognize these strange appearances.

Well, it is true that there are plenty of things in the vast universe we don’t know about yet, and probably never will, unless Allah wills.

And He creates that which you do not know.  16:8  An Nahl.

The point is that Allah has not mentioned which are those objects or phenomena that we don’t know.  So, unless we have solid proof of a new discovery with an acceptable analysis, it won’t be appropriate to promote that kind of perception.  It will simply cause the evolvement of one story after another, fill our lives with guesswork and fabrications and be of absolutely no benefit to us as far as acquiring Allah’s guidance is concerned.

If Allah wanted, He could tell us exactly how Jannah looks like.  He could go into depths in many aspects. But there are mysteries, and aspects for us to figure out, reflect and ponder.  However, only to an extent.  The moment we realize it’s leading nowhere on the path of anything positive in our lives, then it becomes useless speculation and waste of time.  We must quit it.  After all, incorrect knowledge or conjectures are no good and can never take the place of truth.

Nearly every culture worldwide has stories about paranormal mythical beings existing parallel to our material world such as ghosts, demons, fairie, witches, warlocks etc. But the most thoroughly explored beings are  jinn.

Jinn do not live parallel to earth, they are not from space, they live within earth.  Jinn is NOT a myth, it is a fact confirmed in the Noble Quran.  There is an entire chapter in the Quran, called Surah Al-Jinn describing aspects of these beings in surprising detail.  Alhumdulilah.  Please read Surah Al Jinn.

Allah created Jinn from smokeless fire. They live with us here, everywhere like us, and may also be of a higher population than humans.  Only Allah knows best.  There are good jinn and evil jinn.  If the evil jinn observe you as vulnerable, they may try to trick you and thus misguide you.  Jinn are apparently stronger and swifter than humans.  And it is commonly assumed, though not explicitly stated in the Quran, that jinn can make themselves visible or invisible.

What is smokeless fire?

Smokeless fire can be interpreted as energy.  Humans are made of clay, something more physical.

“and He began the creation of man from clay;  Then He made his seed from a draught of despised fluid;”   32:7-8 As Sajdah.    Thus humans have a fundamental connection to earth. "And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire."  55:15  Ar Rahman.     Thus smokeless fire and clay, similar to physics and biology, respectively.
