Prophet Nuh's lifespan

Assallam Alaikum dear MV people.


And verily we sent Noah (as Our messenger) unto his folk, and he continued with them for a thousand years save fifty years; and the flood engulfed them, for they were wrong-doers.    29:14 Al Ankabut.

Does this mean Nuh as lived for 950 years?

Walaykum as Salam.    This Verse means that Prophet Nuh (Noah) ws present with his people for 950 years from the time of his Prophethood untill the coming of the flood.   So, his lifespan was apparently even more than 950 years.  It was like a special miracle from Allah to grant a lifespan to Prophet Noah far beyond the normal stretch of human mortality.  Just as Allah granted the ability to Prophet Essa son of Virgin Maryam to perform certain miracles like raising the dead, healing the blind and leper; ascension of Prophet Essa; the way Allah showed Prophet Abraham His miracle with the birds ref. V.2:260;  interpretation of dreams to Prophet Yusuf;  and parting of the Red sea to help Prophet Musa.  These are all special miracles of Allah for specific causes, and with Allah it is "Kun Faya Kun" (Be, and it is).  He can perform miracles any time and over anything He wishes which came more often during the era of advent of Prophets.

Have you not considered those who left their homes in many thousands, fearing death? Allah said to them, "Die"; then He restored them to life. And Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of the people do not show gratitude.  2:243.

Were these people brought back to life?
