Burial

As Salam Aleykum.  Does the Quran say that after death, burial should be the only method of disposing the body?   Your response will be helpful and appreciated.

Walaikum as Salaam.    Yes, the Noble Quran does refer to it, making it clear that burial is the right way to dispose of the earthly remains of the deceased, Ref.V5:31.  This has been elucidated in the incident described in the Quran about the two sons of Adam.  You can get the details on this Quran topic in our MV post “Two sons of Adam”

Also, in Verses 71:17-18 of Surah Nuh, Allah states that He has created humans from earth and after passing, the body returns to earth.  This is an explicit reference to burial which directly involves the ideology and process of the body created from earth and returning to earth. 

“And Allah has caused you to grow as a growth from the earth,  And afterward He makes you return thereto”   71:17-18    Nuh.

Another Verse referring directly to burial as disposal of earthly remains 80:18-21 Surah Abasa, quote:  "From what thing doeh He create him ?  From a drop of seed. He creates him and proportions him,  Then makes the way easy for him, Then causes him to die, and buries him;"

No matter how people of other faiths dispose the remains of the deceased, eventually it always acquires the same status of dust or earth.  There is no escape for anyone from that.  And since Allah has already referred to the method of burial in the Noble Quran, therefore the body of every believer must be buried by the people of their community.

I want to know are animals also created from earth like humans?  I asked a brother and he said animals are created of water.  Your feedback please.
