Nice Quranic elucidation with logical analysis. 

I want to know are animals also created from earth like humans?  I asked a brother and he said animals are created of water.  Your feedback please.

Yes, the Noble Quran certainly says all animals are created from water.  In Surah Al Anbiya Verse 21:30 quote:  "Allah made from water every living thing"  (21:30).

However, the expression of this Verse seems to indicate that Allah made water the cause and origin of life. No living being in this duniya can survive without water.  Just for information, Allah has made it clear in the Quran that all animals are conscious of Him and praise Him even though humans don’t understand their method of worship.  Based on this fact, Muslims accept that it is forbidden to kill animals for entertainment or gambling, except for food or to prevent them from hurting humans.

Also Verse 24:45 Surah An-Nur quote:  “Allah has created every [living] creature from water.” 

The Arabic word dabbatin (plural of dabba) means "animal" in the Noble Quran.  It is often understood by many readers to refer to non-humans.  But not everyone agrees with this opinion. Some readers assume that the manner of the Quranic expression of this word suggests it should be understood more broadly to include all living beings that intentionally move which includes animals,  humans and jinn.

It seems quite obvious that the mention of creating all living beings with water refers to water as sustenance and essential for the survival of all living beings in this world.  Whether or not animals are also created from earth like humans has not been specifically stated in the Quran so we cannot confirm.  Only Allah knows best.  But from practical evidence and indications on the ground, that is, existence of animals in flesh and blood and their internal biological anatomy being similar to humans, and both turning into dust after burial, it is very likely that Allah also created animals from earth.

The Noble Quran only confirms that the earth and universe were created by Allah before the first human, Adam.  We know that angels were created before humans.   We also know that jinn were created before humans.   But Allah has not mentioned nor referenced whether or not animals were created before Adam. So we cannot confirm.  Maybe yes, but only Allah knows best and only He can confirm.  In any case this aspect is not relevant to our lives for guidance.  So I wouldn't give too much time to it for research as the answer is only with Allah.
